Night Players peek

This Friday, us Players are doing a show at 8pm slt, in our Night Players Theatre. So why not have a sneek peek for the show today?! But what to sneek a peek at?! Why not something yummy...  Unfortunately no facts about the song can be found other than it not being a hit for Kylie Minogue. Not sure why though, it seems to be a hit now! Latestest Sneek Peek

I lost count on the sneek peeks again, but before our last Retro Rewind show... let's have one more shall we! Inspired by the movie Magic Mike , Lotta choreographed her husband's dance for this month. I saw the movie years ago and thought, "Path can do that." And well he did! Here are some song facts for you to enjoy... "Pony" is the debut single of American R&B singer Ginuwine, released as a single from his first LP Ginuwine...The Bachelor in 1996. The song was written by Ginuwine with Swing Mob associates Static Major and Timbaland, who produced the recording. The song's lyrics describe a blatant sexual come-on: "If you're horny, let's do it / Ride it; my pony." The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for two weeks from November 16, 1996 to November 30, 1996 and reached number six on Billboard's Hot 100 on November 23, 1996.   Ginuwine - Pony  https://www.youtube.com/

Sneeky Peek Part ???

I lost count on the sneek peeks! Sneaky peeks?! Anywho! Before Saturday, I thought I'd send out another sneek preview of a song being done at our shows this month. Now, this song in the show is a remix so what's below won't be the same one you hear Saturday, but you get the idea! Who would do this song in a dance production?! You'll be amazed at what our dancer at Paramount has come up with for this song.  Here are some song facts for you to enjoy... Written by the group's lead singer Holly Johnson, bassist Mark O'Toole and drummer Peter Gill, "Relax" was the first Frankie Goes to Hollywood single, and by far their biggest American hit (they had two other chart-toppers in their native UK: "Two Tribes" and "The Power Of Love"). The basic idea of "relax, don't do it" came to Johnson one day in winter 1982 when he was late for rehearsals "walking very quickly along the central reservation of Princes Avenue in To

Sneeky Peek Part 2

This Saturday is our brand new show, Retro Rewind. We are rewinding it back to the 1990's, but with a 1970's feel. Is that possible?! I say it is at least with this song, Groove is in the Heart! (following taken from Wikipedia) In the UK, the record was equally popular and was released as a double A-side with "What Is Love", and, with the UK single released with the subtitle "peanut butter mix" (because the single was heavily edited and completely omitted the contributions by Bootsy Collins and Q-Tip), it eventually reached number two during September 1990. Its placing second was due to a rule instituted in the UK Singles Chart in the 1980s, which settled any "ties" over chart positions due to equal sales: the single with sales that had increased most from the previous week would reside above the other. In September 1990, "The Joker" by the Steve Miller Band and "Groove Is in the Heart" sold enough copies to be the joint num

Time for a NEW SHOW Sneeky Peek

This Saturday is our brand new show, Retro Rewind. Yes we've gone back in time once again to bring some new entertainment. That make any kind of sense to you!? We at Paramount don't like to make much sense! We just enjoy the dancing! This month, one of the dancers went back to 1976 for her song.  (following taken from Wikipedia) The song was prominently featured in the movie Saturday Night Fever and appears on its soundtrack album. Live performances of "You Should Be Dancing" during the 1979 Spirits Having Flown tour featured the Bee Gees' younger sibling, Andy Gibb, on backing vocals. The Boston Celtics also play this song when they are about to win a basketball game in a convincing manner accompanied by the ever popular "Gino Time" video from the television show American Bandstand. Recently, the Tampa Bay Rays have started playing the song at home games between innings. The song was also featured at the end of the film Despicable Me, in which the min
